1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most advanced robot to date is the Roomba j7+. Its most notable innovation is its camera-based obstacle detection system. It uses AI to identify objects like charging cords and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of an object it encounters so that you can tell it to avoid it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the best smart vacuum robot to mop we've ever tested, picking up dirt and spills with ease while leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. It can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't sweep in areas you don’t wish to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it by voice.

The design is also better than the other models. It features an elegant, top piece that looks like an toy, not an obnoxious and loud robot. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt Disposal System is also self cleaning vacuum cleaner-emptying which will cut down your cleaning time.

In our tests, the j7+ was quick to clean up dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in place, instead of scattering it across the floor. It even could capture sand and small gravel that other robots couldn't do. It did without getting caught up in our pet's hair.

While it's not quite as smart robot as the Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs, the J7+ is a solid option for those who need both mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that use robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and often it's difficult to know whether the update is functioning until you've seen it in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, your best floor vacuum robot choice is probably a hybrid. This type of robot typically comes with a built-in tank for water, meaning they can both vacuum and mop your house simultaneously. These bots also have various additional features mopping and vacuuming. Its design is one of the top in the market, but it's expensive.

Its base station looks good and is easily hidden when not in use, and the dimensions are quite small. The station's most appealing factor is its ability to automate many tasks and functions that most other robots leave up to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot fully charged and clean.

Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's the only robovacs that I've tried that does a really good job of cleaning up debris from plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means that it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the home. It's also not able to climb stairs like other models and isn't equipped with a dock to create a cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.

While it doesn't offer as many in terms of cleaning configuration options in its app or as many shortcuts within the app like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for an all-around great robot vacuum and mop that's worth the price tag.

But if you want to save some money or simply don't care about the limitations of this robot, there are plenty of other options on the market, including a lot of eufy models priced substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example is a bit more expensive and has more features, such as the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, which provides the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished carpets with low pile and even high-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac g30

Eufy, an Anker company is a long-standing leader of making robot vacuums that strike a good balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning of hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at an affordable price point. It's easy to setup by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch it on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock should be located close to an outlet that has enough space to move.

The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be precise and will fit under many couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design is less ostentatious in comparison to other models. It features a sleek black finish with three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral pattern over two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.

The way that the G30 cleans is what separates it from its rivals. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of non-movable objects that are in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. When it needs to recharge, it will automatically return to its starting point and begins cleaning where it began.

The eufy G30 has its flaws, though. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better constructed, has lower recurring expenses, charges faster and has a similar battery life. It also offers better performance on floors with no carpet and low-pile carpet. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't have to be emptied as often and comes with an array of boundaries to keep it away from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't have to be emptied as often and it's less difficulty with bulky items like cereal.
