What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The upgrader for items adds a new widget to the top of the Angel and Cash Upgrade windows. The Manager is priced at 33 billion Angel Investors and offers no gaming benefit other than making it easier to find and purchase upgrades.

Boosters

There are a variety of boosts you can get with an upgrader. They can include stats as well as additional bonuses. These bonuses can be applied to weapons or armor, as well as trinkets. Some of these boosts are beneficial in certain builds (such as Whistan's shield in FB sorcs) while others can bring significant value to specific collectors.

Some items have an inherent boo, which is not useful when upgraded, for example the Goldwrap which gives extra potion slots. These are often upp'd to add value to an item that is perfect or close to being perfect.

Costs

There are a few expenses that are associated with upgrades to items. The first is the cost of performing the upgrade. The cost for this upgrade can be costly and is contingent on the new value of the item and the number of perks it receives. It can also be expensive to upgrade items an item upgrader mod to a higher level (such as Explorer > Champion or Veteran > Heroic).

The other is the cost of the items needed to upgrade. The items used are usually either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21and over) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable by completing specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlordssplayed in a window located above the + button. There are however limitations to this, and the maximum amount of material that can be added is displayed directly above the + button in the user interface.

Another way to increase the odds of a successful upgrade is to use an item called the Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version of it. This item is useful in the event that your item or weapon is near or has reached the top level of its level. This item lets you upgrade the equipment to the next tier without the risk of breaking.

The higher the rank, the more zeny and items you will need to upgrade it.

This system is costly especially if you're seeking top-of-the-line equipment. It could cost as high as 100,000 Z and 100 Carnium to upgrade a weapon or armor. As you advance in rank, the chances of success diminish. However, you can utilize cash shop items to increase your chances of completing an upgrade successfully.

Normal Upgrade is a standard upgrade that can be applied to weapons, armor and bikes. It utilizes different grades of cores based on the item type. In general, lower grade items require cheaper cores while higher-grade ones require higher-end ones.

To perform an ordinary upgrade, you must first have the right number of cores. Once you have them, click the button next to the item that you want to upgrade. The upgrade window will show a percentage indicator of your success chances. This percentage is based on the upgrade level of the item and the core type you have selected.

You can also choose the option of a security feature for your item which will safeguard the item in the event of failure. This protection isn't free, but it will cost less than the cost of a new item. The safeguard is only valid only once per upgrade and will last until it is used again.
