The i3+ EVO is different from the other robot vacuums that we tested has a self-emptying bin that automatically dumps debris into an external dirt container on its charging base when it's full. The i3+ EVO can be kept from overfilling by a self-emptying bin. However it still needs to be manually emptied at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO's internal dust bin can hold 2.4L of debris and is more than enough to get it through several cleaning sessions before you have to replace it.

Like the i7, this model is equipped with state-of-the-art floor sensors to create maps and navigate in neat rows. The i3+ EVO can only store one map, whereas the i7 can store multiple. The map of the i7 can be used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones however, not the i3+ EVO.

Although the i3+ EVO is better at picking up dirt and debris from surfaces than the other robovacs we reviewed, it's not the best in terms of cleaning corners and edges. This model utilizes a dToF internal LiDAR sensor to create a map of your home, resulting in efficient cleaning routes. The iMop was rated highly for its accuracy and navigation. It also did a great job of avoiding obstacles such as furniture. It's also able to find its way back to the base station, which is a great benefit in case it's running out of battery during a cleaning session.
