While the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that use robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and it can be difficult to tell if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.

But the station's main selling factor is its ability to automate many tasks and functions that most other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot fully charged and clean.

Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive, too. It's one of the few robot vacuums I've tested that does an excellent job of collecting debris from bare floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly when it comes navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means it can get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms of the house. It's not able climb stairs as well as competitors, either and it doesn't have a dock that allows the user to set up an exclusive cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who need a robot vacuum that does it all.

If you're looking to save some money or don't want to think about the limitations of this machine there are many other options on the market with a wide range of eufy models for significantly less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example, is cheaper and offers an identical experience on the app with additional features such as the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac g30

eufy is an Anker company that has a long history of creating robot best vacuums that have the right combination of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on hard and carpet floors, as well as a mopping function at a reasonable price. It's simple to set up, simply attach one of the side brush and turn it on, then connect the charging dock. The app walks you through a few steps to connect to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. It is recommended to keep the dock close to an electrical outlet and plenty of room for it to move however.
