What is an Upgrade Item in Genshin Impact?

Upgrade items are special items that can assist certain Pokemon evolve. They can be obtained by spinning Pokestop discs, or as rewards for events related to evolution.

Glyphs

Glyphs are characters that represent a specific concept or idea. A glyph can be an image or a drawing like the heart or flag. These symbols can be used to create a complete visual language. Additionally, a glyph may have a standard code that can be used to reference it across fonts. This code is referred to as a Unicode.

A glyph has a shape that dictates which Primary Stats it can be added to, and which Secondary Stats it can be added to. Certain glyphs come with both Primary and Secondary Stats bonuses, while others have only one bonus. The glyphs with both Primary and secondary stats will increase the stats of the entire unit, while ones that have only one Primary Stat bonus increase the stat values.
