Volvo Key Fob Troubleshooting

Volvo drivers are enthralled by the remote control features of their key fob. With a smartphone app they can lock and unlock the car or start the engine and even locate the vehicle.

Place the fob's face up on a clean surface. Find the button that will let it go. Put a coin between the cover of the fob and the fob, and slowly pull it up.

Starting the Engine

You can enable this feature with the key fob in case your car comes with a dealer-installed Engine Remote Start. The vehicle will then cool or heat to the same temperature it was at when it was parked, and will continue to run for a maximum of 15 minutes.

Take it off by sliding it downwards and to the right. The cover will be released and slide away to reveal the manual blade! Close the Windows

After that, once you're done with your car you can lock everything by pressing the lock button again for four seconds.

You can also set off the panic alarm inside your car with the key fob. This will make an alarm that is loud enough to attract attention and deter thieves. It can also help you get home safely when you've been out all night. This feature can bock all doors as well as the rear gate by pressing the unlock button on the fob's keypad twice. The lock button will also close the windows and the sunroof (if equipped) by pressing it for 2 seconds. Reconnect the battery, and the alarm will stop. If it doesn't, the owners manual should provide a way to reset the alarm.
